Cordless 15.6 Volt Shark vacuum cleaner SV736

When I moved in a new house a month ago, I decided to get the cordless hand held Shark 15.5 volt vacuum cleaner . I used to have one of those hand held vacuum cleaner a few years ago but it lacked power and long battery life. For $50, I got exactly what I wanted: handy, easy to maneuver, powerful and with a long lasting battery.

I like the fact that despite its small size, it is very powerful and works great on small rugs, tiles, tables and even upholstered chairs. The suction is strong enough to pick up fine hair or dirt off the carpet, especially with the spinning brush that comes with it.

I love to be able to quickly clean the carpet on the stairs and I no longer use my regular vacuum cleaner to do it. What I really enjoy is that in less than a minute, I can clean up the messes my kids are making when having lunch or dinner. I don¡¯t have to wait until cleaning the whole kitchen to do it. It is so convenient to clean up dry spills on the floor that I always keep it on hand in the kitchen or in the dining room.

I also tried to clean my medium-sized car and I was able to do it with a single charge and just as well as my regular vacuum cleaner. That was a great news because I always hated having to use the big, heavy vacuum cleaner to clean my car.

It is also very easy to empty it , it has no bag , just a filter which is very quick to wash.

I would definitely recommend the 15.6 voltage . I used to have the lower voltage (7.2v) unit and the short lasting battery as well as the lack of power were really annoying.

The Shark has also a great look which is always a plus for me.

The only downfall that I see is that the motor is loud and my little child always starts to cry when I put it on.

If you are looking for a quick and easy way to clean up little messes in your house or in your car, you won¡¯t be disappointed with this affordable unit

Shark Cordless VX3 Lightweight Sweeper Cleaner

My wife hates to clean, and she REALLY hates to sweep or vacuum the floor. Vacuum cleaners and electric sweepers are loud, heavy, smelly, and annoying, so I clean our tile floor and area rugs using a combination of broom with dustpan, full-size vacuum cleaner, and long-strand twist mop.

Barbara prefers the alternative, as will many of you lazy techies. Shark’s Cordless VX3 new flexible sweeper is true to its promotional material:

1. Lightweight and maneuverable swivel steering (It’s a bit wobbly, and takes some getting used to, but it works nicely.)

2. Cordless-Go-Anywhere design (True.)

3. Convenient to use bottom-emptying dust tray (It’s a little dusty, but it does work.)

4. Up to 90 minutes of run time (Who can clean a floor for 90 minutes? For short sessions, it’s fine, and the battery holds a nice charge.)

You can read and learn more than you never wanted to know about this Shark at the company’s web site.

During the last several weeks, VX3 has been in active duty by both Barbara and me. Her comments are:

“It’s easy to push. Weight is very light, but that’s on purpose. It picks up most dust bunnies, but it could be a little more efficient. The Shark gets dirt better on the tile floor than on our loose carpets and rugs. I understand that VX3 is a sweeper, not a vacuum, so it uses a motorized brush and turning action instead of suction to collect debris.

“The noise is not bad. Handle height and feel are okay. I’m not sure the twisting and folding handle features are improvements over our original Shark from several years ago. I’m still getting used to this new handle arrangement.

“Tell your readers this is a lazy person’s broom, for people who don’t want to use a broom and dustpan, and don’t need more than a light duty sweeper. I wish it ran by itself, without me having to take it out of the closet and push it around, but that’s not the fault of Shark.”

I’ll add:

The dark pink color is a little peculiar. Assembling, charging and using VX3 are very easy. Follow the written or online instructions, and you’ll get optimum usage out of this lightweight, portable cleaner. The company web site has a PDF of the manual, plus a useful FAQ sheet. The entire unit is modular, so each component of it is replaceable.

My aunt purchased two of the original cordless Sharks at a retail store, and she continues to use them, with replacement batteries, several years later. My daughter hates to clean as much as does my wife, so we gave her an original Shark which she continues to use as infrequently as possible in her apartment. The batteries wear down before the unit falls apart, so keep that in mind.

VX3′s value for money is fine. Follow the charging and usage instructions, and it will keep your floors reasonably clean with very little effort or stress.

Shark Cordless Sweeper Troubleshooting

Shark Cordless Sweepers are a popular alternative to heavy, awkward vacuum cleaners. They are quiet and light, in addition to the fact that they hold their charge for a long period of time. They stand on their own and do not need to be propped up. These sweepers are also known to do a good job picking up debris on tile floors. As with any appliance, however, you are likely to run into some problems. Try troubleshooting them first before calling in a repairman.

Power
Your sweeper needs power to operate and so, if your unit is not working, recharge the battery. If that does not solve your problem, check to make sure that there is power coming from the electrical outlet you have been using to charge the adapter. You can do this by plugging in another item, such as a lamp or radio. If the outlet is not functioning, perhaps you blew a fuse or tripped the circuit breaker. Replace any needed fuses and reset the breaker if necessary. If the outlet is working, then you will need to call Customer Service because the problem is with your sweeper.

Dust Container
If your sweeper will not pick up any dirt, your dust container may be full. Empty the container, replace it and see if that solves your problem. If you find that dust is escaping from the sweeper, more than likely your dust container is overflowing and you will need to empty it again.

Rotating Brush
If you find that the rotating brush will not pick up any dirt, your unit may be clogged. Your brush may have excessive material on it, or there may be an abundance of dirt on the bottom of the sweeper. Remove any obstructions from the sweeper and/or the brushes. The rotating brush will also not turn if the dust container is full.

Shark Vacuum Cleaners – A Review Of The SV736 Cordless Handheld Vacuum

Euro-Pro Shark vacuum cleaners come in all types but Shark claims that its 15.6-volt cordless handheld vacuum, the SV736, is the most powerful on the market. It’s a big claim to make, so let’s take a closer look to see if Shark really does make the best hand-held vacuum.

So what do you get when you buy the Euro-Pros Shark handheld vacuum? First off you get something the company calls Twister Cyclonic Technology. This technology is supposed to give you greater suction power – and suction that lasts, even as the dust cup fills up. Well, I tested this out and was genuinely impressed with its suction but I have to be honest and say I didn’t use it enough to test if the suction remained strong as the cup filled. Still, for such a small and lightweight appliance the cleaning power was impressive.

I always look at the build quality of vacuum cleaners; I want to buy a vacuum that’s going to take a few knocks and will last the course. The Shark SV736 handheld vacuum came up trumps here as well. The appliance is solidly built and is well-balanced, making it easy to hold and, therefore, it feels light too. The SV736 comes supplied with a motorized brush that does a great job of loosening pet hair and other debris from fibers. You also get a crevice tool with it.

The instructions say that the appliance requires an initial charging period of at least 20 hours, so you can’t use it straight out of the box, but this is to be expected with any rechargeable appliance. After the initial charge I used this vacuum for a full 30 minutes and it maintained a strong charge throughout.

This Shark vacuum cleaner is small but that does mean that the dust cup is small and you’re going to have to regularly empty it, which means cleaning the filter; the filter should be replaced every 3 months. I’m not sure how the filters cost, but it is going to be an ongoing expense.

As expected, you get a mounting bracket designed to be fitted on the wall. If you use the bracket, bear in mind that it will require access to a 120-volt outlet. The bracket itself is easy to install; the vacuum doesn’t come with any tools, so you’ll need a small drill and screwdriver.

What is different about the bracket is that it’s been designed to hold the appliance so that its nozzle points upwards – most other handheld vacuum cleaners point downwards when wall-mounted. I found this arrangement did make it a little bit tricky to get the vacuum in and out of the charger, but after a little perseverance I finally got the knack of it.

In summary, I really liked the Euro-Pro Shark SV736 cordless handheld vacuum and I would rate it above just about every other handheld vacuum on the market. Its pros were its excellence performance, build quality and great attachments. Its only drawback was getting the unit in and out of the wall bracket.

Shark VX3 Cordless Sweeper As Seen On TV Review

What exactly is the Shark VX3 Sweeper? Actually it is a new innovative exceedingly light sweeper that is powered from a rechargeable power plant. It scrunches down under most furniture saving you from aggravation, backaches and even that unsightly dirt along your walls and baseboards. .

It will suck up the small items that vacuum cleaners refuse, like wood chips, broken glass, gravel, nails and cooked food. Even more significant, it will even inhale things like pet food, cat litter, confetti, pet hair and rice.

What it won’t do? Because it works on a large rechargeable power plant system¡ªit won’t quit when you’re halfway finished cleaning your house¡ªit’s all accomplished on one charge. That’s a full 90 minutes of deep powerful cleaning.

Made with space age polymers this marvel looks as if it belongs in the next century. It’s light gray in color and so lightweight (less than 4 pounds) that you’ll swear it cannot do what’s promised until you begin working with it, and then you’ll be thoroughly stunned. It is a cordless dynamo.

Featuring a well-thought-out contemporary design, because of its patented swivel head, this item can effortlessly maneuver and steer through the unpleasant messes that most folks find in their home. With its unique ergonomically engineered handle, it can fit under most furniture¡ªa definite back-saver. One of its best features is its astounding wall-hugging properties that literally propel dirt into its out sized dust collector. That translates to no more nasty filth along your baseboards and walls. It also features two speeds, Multi-surface (for cleaning of bare floors and carpet), and Turbo (for those extra out of the ordinary messes that kids and pets can leave you).

The benefits of this astounding sweeper are myriad, from its completely cordless design that prevents the user from having to avoid a cord and possibly tripping over it, to the trouble-free easy to empty large dust tray conveniently located at the bottom of the unit. The Shark Sweeper Vx3 will impress you with its versatility and time-honored design. It will pick up things that your current vacuum can’t.

This space-age marvel has received numerous accolades and won over so many happy users that they are presented separately from the site. Simply reading and hearing the unsolicited comments of the contented public will definitely convert the most cynical and pessimistic reader. The reason this product even exists is because of: feedback from discontented unhappy people whose vacuums simply are not picking up what the users desire; those who are exhibiting back problems from lugging around heavy vacuums that cause them to have to bend down in back-breaking positions to clean under furniture; and finally those who have had to wrestle with grimy dust-covered bags that the majority of vacuums feature. The Shark VX3 Sweeper not only solves those problems but is the answer to modern cleaning methods that require much less work in both running and emptying this sweeper.

Shark Cordless Sweeper Review – Great Pet Hair Vacuum

The Shark Cordless Sweeper really cleans up. Read the reviews and you will see most people really love the Shark Sweeper. I have had mine over an year and I love it. As a lazy housekeeper I don’t want to lug out the big vacuum everytime someone spills something, tracks in leaves or the dog rips up paper and rawhide bones. Actually most of the big stuff isn’t good to use your big vacuum on anyway.

The Shark sweeper is lightweight and great for quick pickups and spot cleaning. Best of all it is fabulous on dog hair. I have an Alaskan Malamute and once a day is not too often to vacuum with all the pet hair. Can’t say that I actually do it that often, but it is much easier now that I have the Shark cordless. It goes under and between places you may not be able to go with your full size vacuum. You can remove the handle to do stairs or vacuum pet hair from the back of your SUV.

Picks up fine dirtThis is a cordless sweeper, not a vacuum or a replacement for your regular vacuum. It has a motorized brush, but there is no motor for suction. That is one reason the sweeper is so lightweight. I am amazed that it does manage to pick up very fine dirt as well as large items. It can’t suck out the deep down dirt though.

The Shark sweeper works great on hard floors and low pile carpet. People with very plush carpet have said that it does not have enough power. I have heard complaints about it making a grinding noise. My Shark sweeper has made this noise before but it continues to work and the noise goes away after awhile. Must have been some dirt in the gear or something. I purchased my Shark in May 2003 and now August 2004 it seems like the battery is getting weak. Replacement batteries are available but for the price I will probably just buy a whole new sweeper.

Shark 2 in 1 Stick and Hand Vacuum

I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical when I saw the Shark 2 in 1 Stick and Hand Vacuum. It looks like a puny little thing, and with a price tag of $20, I thought it would barely do a thing and have absolutely no suction at all. But for that price I bought it anyway and figured that if it didn’t work, I could always bring it back.

So I brought it home, put it all together (which took no time at all) and started vacuuming. And it worked like a charm. Color me surprised, but it did a great job. And turning it into a hand vac is a breeze, making it easy to get into those hard to reach spots and vacuum the furniture while you are vacuuming the floor.

Like a lot of vacuums these days, the Shark 2 in 1 Stick and Hand Vacuum is bagless. The main vacuum unit is pretty much a hand vacuum, and it comes apart just like a normal hand vac to allow you to get rid of the dirt and dust and whatnot. It turns back into a stick vac just by plugging in the attachment at the bottom. There is also a longer handle which you can snap in at the top, it is really quite simple to put together and take apart.

For extra vacuuming fun, there is one other attachment (besides those to turn the hand vac into a stick vac) and that is an extra nozzle to do corners and the sides of the wall.

That is not to say the Shark 2 in 1 Stick and Hand Vacuum is perfect. It isn’t the biggest vacuum you have ever seen in your life, and if you’ve got a big place you will find it taking a lot of time to vacuum up with it. But if you just have a little apartment, or are looking for something to do quick little jobs, it is perfect.

Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaners

Euro-Pro has put so many variants of its Shark upright vacuum cleaners in the market that it has become difficult to choose among them. Fortunately, the number of models available on the market corresponds also to the amount of information that can be freely found in the Internet.

Good sources of this information are the Internet merchants. Not only do they outline specifications, but they also display consumer comments which can give a potential buyer a feel of what the product would act like when she buys it.

Amazon.com is one of the best resources to start your research on Shark upright vacuum cleaners. Here are overviews of best rated Shark upright vacuums:

Euro Pro Shark EP705
With its 25-foot long power cord, the EP705 Shark upright vacuum cleaner gives you the reach and convenience you’d need in vacuuming your house.

You can plug it in just one power outlet, and you can clean anywhere you’d need within your home.

The mobility you’d have when using the EP705 is incredible. It is very maneuverable, with extra-large wheels that turns easily.

The cleaner’s handle is capable of pivoting at right angles, which means that you could clean easily under furniture.

The EP705 Shark upright vacuum cleaner comes packaged with two extension tubes that allows for greater reach when cleaning. Other accessories include an onboard dusting brush and a crevice tool for cleaning hard to reach places.

EP710 Shark Bagless Upright
With its 13-inch power headlight, and its 12-ampere motor, the EP710 Shark upright vacuum cleaner is a little machine perfect for cleaning different surfaces.

The headlight can be adjusted for working on different surfaces, like carpets.

Gone are the days of having to shoo your family out the door before you can clean the house.

The motor runs quietly, which means you can still vacuum your home even if someone is inside or someone is asleep.

With its true HEPA filter, not only do you get cleaner surfaces, you also get cleaner air. The filter works to eliminate allergens and irritants from the air the machine sucks, so that you get clean air out the exhaust.

Because it is bagless, the EP710 instead uses an easy emptying dust bin that can just be emptied and does not have to be replaced. At 30 feet long, the power cord has the ideal length needed for you to be able to plug in and clean anywhere within your home.

So that you could maximize on your cleaning range, the EP710 has a 7-feet extra long stretch hose, and a quick-release 3-feet extension wand.

UV204SH Spectra
Cleaner air is what the Spectra Widepath is all about. It has both a true HEPA filter and a premotor filter working to rid vacuumed air of microorganisms before it is expelled out the cleaner’s back.

Both filters, however, are not lifetime. The HEPA filter must be changed after six months, while the premotor filter requires quarterly changing.

This UV204SH Shark upright vacuum cleaner has a motorized spinning brush roll, making it ideal to clean carpets. For different carpet heights, you only need to turn a dial to select the desired setting out of four carpet heights.
