Shark Cordless Sweeper Review – Great Pet Hair Vacuum

The Shark Cordless Sweeper really cleans up. Read the reviews and you will see most people really love the Shark Sweeper. I have had mine over an year and I love it. As a lazy housekeeper I don’t want to lug out the big vacuum everytime someone spills something, tracks in leaves or the dog rips up paper and rawhide bones. Actually most of the big stuff isn’t good to use your big vacuum on anyway.

The Shark sweeper is lightweight and great for quick pickups and spot cleaning. Best of all it is fabulous on dog hair. I have an Alaskan Malamute and once a day is not too often to vacuum with all the pet hair. Can’t say that I actually do it that often, but it is much easier now that I have the Shark cordless. It goes under and between places you may not be able to go with your full size vacuum. You can remove the handle to do stairs or vacuum pet hair from the back of your SUV.

Picks up fine dirtThis is a cordless sweeper, not a vacuum or a replacement for your regular vacuum. It has a motorized brush, but there is no motor for suction. That is one reason the sweeper is so lightweight. I am amazed that it does manage to pick up very fine dirt as well as large items. It can’t suck out the deep down dirt though.

The Shark sweeper works great on hard floors and low pile carpet. People with very plush carpet have said that it does not have enough power. I have heard complaints about it making a grinding noise. My Shark sweeper has made this noise before but it continues to work and the noise goes away after awhile. Must have been some dirt in the gear or something. I purchased my Shark in May 2003 and now August 2004 it seems like the battery is getting weak. Replacement batteries are available but for the price I will probably just buy a whole new sweeper.
